Here is a video I found on youtube that features Father Pfleger, who has been in the news recently for the controversial statements he made at Barack Obama’s Church. He is the most protestant Priest, in terms of his preaching style, that I have ever seen. Father Pfleger adheres to black liberation [...]

Sin… The downfall of mankind… Sin brought death, disease, wars, famine and all sorts of problems to the world. Some Christians wrongly think that sin can no longer do them any harm since they “believe” in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. I have been wanting to write something regarding the situation in Kansas, where dissident Catholic governor Kathleen Sebelius has been told to refrain from partaking of communion. Archbishop Naumann is another leader of the Church that I applaud for defending the truth of the Catholic faith.
Some may see this as a negative move on the part of [...]

Hopefully this act may lead to further dialogue which may help in one day re-unifying [...]

In some disturbing news out of Israel, apparently hundreds of New Testaments were torched in Israel’s city of Or-Yehuda. This act was reported to be a response to aMessianic Jewish movement that had been distributing them but these actions also impacts Catholics and other Christians who make pilgrimages to Israel.
This act also brings back the horrible memories of Nazi book burnings that [...]

New Logo!

My creative side got the better of me over the weekend. I purchased some software to design a new logo for the blog. After a few tries I finally think I got it right. Who knows… I may change it a few more times before long!
Update: Okay I changed it slightly again after seeing it [...]

As the Eucharist is a key distinguishing doctrine that separates Catholics and Protestants, today’s readings at Mass drive home the importance of the doctrine. Let us look at the readings individually and then try to tie them together.
The first reading: Dt 8:2-3, 14b-16a
Moses said to the people:
“Remember how for forty years now the LORD, your [...]

Here is an excerpt from St. Cyprian of Carthage’s Letter to Cornelius of Rome. This offers yet another proof of Rome as the Chair or throne of Peter. Cyprian also refers to the Roman church as the “chief” Church! This is just another insight into the early Church. The letter was written in the middle [...]
