I found this interesting article in which a Romanian Orthodox bishop asked and received communion at a Byzantine Catholic Church. Evidently this has caused quite a stir in the Romanian Orthodox Church which has had shaky relations with the Catholic Church.
Hopefully this act may lead to further dialogue which may help in one day re-unifying both ancient Churches.
Here is the whole story:
The papists are extending their reach!
The Church controls the world and we are still watching you.
You are paranoid.
God bless you.
I must say though that one bishop in the Orthodox Church does not equal the Orthodox Church. One Bishop’s actions do not speak for the Church and although sad, schism is not healed by the actions of ANY man, either Orthodox OR Roman Catholic or even, both of them together. Rather, the schism can only be healed by the Holy Spirit.
The only dialogue that will result from this is that Bishop’s censure and possible dethronement. As is right and proper according to the Canons of the Orthodox Church. Surely you do not approve of ecclesiastical disobedience do you?
God bless you.

Suzanne,
Thanks for the comments. I agree with some of your points and it is sad that there is schism.
I do believe that much of the rift itself extends from ecclesiastical disobedience. I do respect the Orthodox Churches for what we share in common but I do wish for a unified Holy Catholic Church. God uses people in ways that may not be apparent.
God Bless,
Chris
