Evidently, Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has formed or backed the formation of the President Hugo Chavez. The Church receives large contributions from the state owned oil company. This Church is Catholic in name only, as it rejects most of the moral doctrines of the Church. It is sad that one person’s ego is so large that they feel they must start their own Church. Chavez certainly fits the bill of an egomaniac. He joins a long list of despots that think they can manipulate the Church and/or are above the Church.
