Once again, we have reports of an ancient artifact that supposedly casts doubt on Christianity. The news outlets have been reporting that a three foot tall tablet with 87 lines written in Hebrew has been discovered and that the writings suggest that Jesus’ rising from the dead after three days was not a new story/concept and that it had been the theme of Jewish writing decades before Jesus was born.
I am confident that this finding will rank along side the tomb of Jesus, the ossuary of James and all the other supposed ancient finding that have been used to either disprove or discredit Christianity/Catholicism.
It is a money maker to try to disprove the Christianity, so why would we expect it to stop. As long as money can be made from trying to disprove the religion, people will keep bringing up these types of finds. Many “experts” try to read into the artifacts their own agendas. I call it speculative science.
Even if the tablet is a legitimate finding, it proves nothing about the truth of Christianity. The Bible contains many concepts about the messiah that are in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament. This is nothing new.
It is a wonder that so many of these ancient “findings” are given so much credence with the track record they have had in the past.
